"After searching God’s Word in prayer, I found the Voice of the Middle Ground podcasts and they spoke to me as a Christian when the repetition of violent deaths in 2020 became too much for me to assimilate.  In 2022 I was a Rev 7 Conference Participant and thereafter became a Voice of the Middle Ground Ambassador.  I volunteered at the 2023 Rev 7 Conference.”

Role

Voice of the Middle Ground is a gospel-centered ministry that operates largely through volunteers and with the help of financial partners like you. Helping VotMG maintain an internal culture that models our external goals for building community, authenticity, and diversity, is the role of Volunteer Coordinator. This role is one that Sharon is uniquely qualified to fill because of her experience in the education and training sphere and also her activity and involvement in and with Voice of the Middle Ground's tools, opportunities, and resources. Sharon's heart for people and her ability to listen with empathy and to think strategically adds to her leadership skills in a way that further builds VotMG's internal structure in a holistic way that also contributes to our ability to make sure that the experience of volunteers is a positive one.

Bio

Sharon Kaniess is an early childhood expert who has worked with parents and their children for over 30 years. Most of her career has been within the Saint Paul School District and is also a contributing author of the book, "Top 20 Parents", and has spent time training teachers on behalf of the Education Ministry of Kenya. Sharon is currently a conference presenter on the topic of parenting. She now also serves as the Volunteer Coordinator on the board for Voice of the Middle Ground.
